The Luminor 1950 case represents another stage in the evolution of Officine Panerai cases. The case-middle of the Luminor 1950 3 Days – 47 mm by Officine Panerai, made of polished steel in the classic 47mm diameter, is rounded and cusp-shaped on the sides, a direct development of the cushion-shape case which still characterises Radiomir watches today. Other details are the result of a constant quest to both reclaim the past and strive for innovation: The flat case-back with large sapphire glass window which reveals the movement, the slightly thinner strap attachments which provide greater overall style, the Plexiglas® crystal, the engraving of the reference details between the lugs, the inscription “Luminor Panerai” no longer printed but engraved on the dial in period characters. The Luminor 1950 3 Days – 47mm by Officine Panerai has a P.3000 calibre, a manual-wound mechanical movement designed and developed entirely by Officine Panerai at its Neuchâtel Manufacture.
